At the end of March 2013 Deadline Paranormal was contacted by a police officer from Forty Fort Borough about possible paranormal activity within the Forty Fort Borough Building at 1271 Wyoming Avenue, in Forty Fort Pennsylvania. The officer advised that there had been numerous occurrences of paranormal or unexplained happenings inside of the building. Officers have experienced hearing footsteps and slamming doors coming from the second floor of the building, when there was no one else in the building. An officer experienced a garbage can in the police station that sounded like something hit the top of it, causing the lid to spin with no one around it. In the video surveillance cameras several unexplained objects were seen floating past the camera on numerous occasions. One officer witnessed on camera what appeared to be someone running down the hallway and disappear into the wall. Unexplained noises usually occur at night on a regular basis. An officer also stated that he sometimes felt as if someone was staring at him from the stairs as he walked down the hallway in the middle of the night. It is believed by many that two former employees, named Sam or Benny, caused the occurrences. Benny was said to have been a prankster when he worked for the borough fire department.

Deadline Paranormal was asked if they would be interested in investigating if permission could be granted from the borough for them to do so. After receiving permission from borough officials, an investigation date was chosen.

On 04/21/2013 at 1900 hours, members of Deadline Paranormal, Jim, Tony, Ron, and Frank, along with several officers (Mike, Chris, and Adam) who were asked to assist in the investigation, met at the borough building. Members were given a quick tour of the building, and were informed of where some of the incidents were observed.

Our investigation started by setting up our audio and video surveillance using our Sony handy cam, and stationary night vision cameras. Several tennis balls were placed in different areas in attempts to capture spirit manipulation of the object. A sweep of the area was also done with our MEL Meter and K II Meter for any evidence of electromagnetic spikes that might be present. We then started documentation with still photography of all three floors. While on the basement near the bathroom using the K II meter, and taking photos, Mike got a spike on the meter. He and Chris, who was taking pictures, then became very cold almost to the point of shivering. There are no air vents of any type in this area. Mike and Chris then went to the basement kitchen area, and Mike got another spike on the meter, and got cold once again, and had tingling in his forearm. Once Mike and Chris went into the furnace room, Mike stated that his forearm felt like it went back to normal.

Mike, the officer who originally contacted Deadline, agreed to conduct a session alone in the basement using a R.E.M. pod, and a digital recorder to try to capture EVP’s. While in the basement, Jim set up a flashlight on one of the tables to be manipulated to possibly get one of the spirits to turn on the flashlight. When Jim started to leave the basement and just started to climb the stairs, the flashlight turned on. Once Jim left, the officer then conducted the EVP session for approximately 20 minutes. Tony then came down to the basement with the Ovilus X Box with a DTD Box, also known as a Digital Text Display. This box allows us to read the words being said through the Ovilus X. Within seconds after turning it on, a response of “arrest” was heard. A response of “Mike” was also given.

Jim, Tony, Mike, Chris, and Adam then went to the second floor into the Fire Department meeting room. Photos and video was taken of the room, and Jim once again set up the flashlight as he did in the basement. Jim asked if anyone was in the room, and asked if someone could turn on the flashlight. Within a few seconds, the flashlight came on. Jim then asked if they could turn off the flashlight. The light turned off, as if the power drained. The battery was then dead. Mike advised that he took the flashlight off of the charger just prior to the start of the investigation.

Jim, Tony, and Chris went to the basement to conduct a session again. Mike and Adam stayed in the meeting room with the Ovilus X Box with a DTD Box and they were receiving responses to questions. Both Mike and Adams names were said through the box. Some of the sayings came in a series and were.. Rain, Moist, Disaster, GraveYard…..Africa, Master, Tree, Killed……Reverend, Cheat, Sin…..Soldiers, March…..Kitchen, Attic, Climb. A response of story was said several times. Mike asked what they wanted to tell them, and they got a response of “stuff”. Also several names were also said, and were Virginia, Paul, Harriet, Peter. Mike and Adam were sitting at the table, and when Adam started to stand up, the word “sit” was heard. The on-duty police officer came into the room during the session, and a response of “officer” was heard. When the word kitchen kept being said, Mike took the MEL meter to the second floor kitchen, and once inside it went from a reading of 0.0 to 1.7. Access could not be gained into the attic because it was locked, but it kept saying Attic several times.

On 09/07/2014 at approximately 1900 hours, members Jim, Frank, Chris, Mike, met to conduct a second investigation of the Forty Fort Borough Building located at 1271 Wyoming Avenue in Forty Fort.Tony was absent from the investigation.

Lunar phase on 7 September 2014 Sunday is Waxing Gibbous. The current moon phase is from 2014-09-02 12:11 to 2014-09-09 02:38. The moon is in zodiac sign Aquarius .

We began our investigation by setting up our audio and video surveillance using digital recorders and stationary night vision cameras. IR trail cameras were also set-up throughout the building. An IR camera was set-up in the attic, along with a Rempod, Temperscope, Geopod, and a digital recorder. During the last investigation, the word attic kept coming up on the Ovilus.

Several tennis balls were placed in different areas in an attempt to capture spirit manipulation of the object. A sweep of the building was also done with our MEL Meter and K II Meter for any evidence of electromagnetic spikes that might be present. On the first floor near the Men’s room, there was an unexplained spike on the K II meter. While in the basement, Mike was touched on the back of his neck.

We then started documentation with still photography of all three floors. Still photography was not taken in the attic due to limited floor boards. Frank flew a drone over the building, filming the entire area, over and around the building. Frank also flew the drone in the Forty Fort Cemetery, to obtain footage to be used in an intro video to be added to the website at a later date. We tried some new investigative methods during this investigation. During this investigation we tried the water and natural Light Reflection Method of Instrumental Transcommunication (Thanks to Orion Silverstar). We also tried the smoke method using a fog machine. We also place a stationary IR camera on a television with the snow, to see if we captured any images.

On Sunday 05/10/2015 at 1900 hours members Jim, Tony, Frank, and Mike met at the Forty Fort Borough building to do a walk-through with our newest member Jeff, who is a paranormal psychic medium.

While on the way to the site, Jeff was not told where he was going. Jeff was also not briefed about who we thought may have been in the building.

Once all of the members arrived, we let Jeff walk through the building. Jeff immediately felt the presence of a male in the building. Jeff advised that he was drawn to the Fire Department office, which was locked. Jeff stated that he felt a strong urge to get into that office because the male was inside. Jeff was then let into the police department, and immediately went to the wall that separates the police and fire offices and stated that he believes the male is still inside of the fire office.

Jeff then ended up going to the second floor and stated that the male is making him follow him through the building. We then ended up in the Fire Department meeting room on the second floor since the door was unlocked. We spent some time in there, and Jeff was drawn to the old pictures on the wall. Jeff ended up pointing out a picture of one of the current firefighters named Bob, who we later found out was friends with the male named Dave who is mentioned below. We then ended up going to the other end of the building to the Council Chambers.

In the Council Chambers, Jeff saw a picture of the original borough building hanging on the wall, and he stated that when he was on the way to the building, he had a vision of that picture while in the car.

We then made our way to the basement, where there was increased activity. In the basement, Jeff advised that he was getting feelings from one of the males. He started that he was short of breath and felt like he really needed to smoke a cigarette. Jeff then got to one of the phones, and Mike if he ever gets any phone calls that are hang-ups. Mike stated that he gets them every now and then, and Jeff stated that the spirits are trying to communicate with him. Jim then asked Jeff to ask if they like Mike, and he stated that they do. Jim asked Jeff if the male could show himself, and he stated that he wants to but does not know how.

Jeff then stated that he was getting from the male that he died too early, died too young. As Jeff was saying these things, Mike then realized that he was talking about a firefighter named Dave that had a medical emergency in the fire garage in 2002. Dave ended up going to the hospital, never came back to work, and passed away at age 53 on 07/09/2003. Some of the other things that were mentioned, we believed to be more like Benny’s personality. Mike then called a current firefighter, Skip, and he confirmed some of the things that Jeff was saying about Dave. Skip advised that Dave unexpectedly died at an early age and that he was a heavy smoker. I then asked if Skip could do a conference call to speak with Jeff. Skip then called and as soon as he did, it was like Jeff was taken over by one of the spirits. As soon as Jeff heard Skip’s voice, he immediately was overcome with emotion. He told Skip that it was great to hear his voice, and he asked him how he was. We were not sure exactly who was allegedly speaking through Jeff. They spoke for a short time, and the call was ended. Jeff then stated that he felt very drained, and wanted to take a break.

We decided to end the session inside of the building, and decided to take a walk into the Forty Fort Cemetery across the street. We walked past the Forty Fort Meeting House, and once we got on the east side of the building facing the River, Jeff stated that he did not like being there. Jeff was asked if he wanted to leave the cemetery, and he stated that he would continue but felt uncomfortable.

Jeff was shown two burial plots that were believed to be Indians. Jeff got a feeling that one of the graves belonged to a smaller child. The session was ended after all members departed approximately 30 minutes later.
