Žaltys (Baltic):  Serpentine fertility spirit. A household spirit in the Lithuanian mythology. it is a guardian of the home and a symbol of fertility

Zână (Romanian): Nature spirit. Zână are the

 equivalent of fairies and the Germanic Elf.

Zashiki-warashi (Japanese): House spirit. Zashiki-warashi is prone to playing harmless pranks and occasionally causing mischief

 Zombie

Zduhać (Slavic mythology): Disembodied, heroic spirit. It was believed that the souls of these men could leave their bodies in sleep, to intercept and fight with demonic beings

Zombie (Voodo): Re-animated corpse. In VooDoo a dead person can be revived by a bokor or sorcerer. Zombies remain under the control of the bokor since they have no will of their own

Zunbera-bō (Japanese): Faceless ghost. Zunbera-bō are known primarily for frightening humans, but are usually otherwise harmless. They appear at first as ordinary human beings impersonating someone familiar to the victim, before causing their features to disappear, leaving a blank, smooth sheet of skin where their face should be. The picture to the left shows a featureless entity said to be Zunbera-bō  A.K.A. Noppera-bō

Žiburinis (Lithuanian): Forest spirit in the form of a glowing skeleton

ZOZO: A demonic entity, deity or immortal spirit that chooses certain people to become attached to through the use of the Ouija Board. ZOZO has been documented since the early 1800s. Once people began frequently using Ouija boards ZOZO would start to show itself more and more frequently.
